Praxis Care has a long standing reputation for excellence in community based social care, and is experiencing a high demand for services across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, England, and Isle of Man.

In response to this demand, in respect of people with learning disabilities and highly complex needs, we are creating a service which will provide specialist care in the community based on the principles of Positive Behaviour Support.

This provides an exciting opportunity for people who are highly motivated to work in this demanding and rewarding environment. The service will be designated as a PBS Development Centre with a very high level of expert support and formal training for staff. Positive Behaviour Support Leads
Portadown Bespoke Services

Portadown Bespoke Services is a service which provides enabling support to young adults with complex needs associated with learning disabilities. The individuals may also have autism, and/or mental ill health, and behaviours which challenge.

The Positive Behaviour Support Lead would provide effective leadership, supervision and management to a specialist team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners. Each successful applicant will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a consistently high quality support service within a caring environment, ensuring that both service users and staff are treated with dignity and respect. Through a key worker system and use of advanced positive behaviour methodologies, employees will be responsible for implementing individual programmes of support. You will be champions in the positive behaviour support approach, and Praxis Care will support you to attain competence through formal qualifications and experience and expect that you contribute to the dissemination of understanding of PBS across the organisation.

Full Time £26,961 - £34,661 per annum pro rata*

Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies.

*Salary is based on 39 hours a week

After 12 months service, we offer candidates the opportunity to further their knowledge and understanding of the field of Positive Behaviour Support, through funding eligible applicants for the following academic qualifications:

- QCF Level 5
- MSc in Applied Behavioural Analysis
- A relevant PhD
