Nottingham has links to the legend of Robin Hood and to the lace-making, bicycle (notably Raleigh bikes) and tobacco industries. It was granted its city charter in 1897 as part of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Motorpoint Arena Nottingham (originally the Nottingham Arena, formerly the Capital FM Arena Nottingham) is a multi-use indoor arena located within the National Ice Centre in the Lace Market district of Nottingham, England.
The National Ice Centre and Nottingham Arena were opened by Olympic gold medallist Jayne Torvill on 1 April 2000. Since its opening, the arena has hosted over a thousand concerts, comedy acts, family shows and sporting events. The arena is the UK’s first twin ice pad facility and centre of excellence for ice sports in the UK.

“It’s busier than I thought. I thought we can’t assume it’s not going to work, I’ve been to a lot of job fairs, this is good. I’ve got a pile of CV’s and at the least there are 10 here I want to place and if we place just one then there you go.” (Nottingham, 20/01/2017) Response Network
“Today has been the best experience of talking to people locally. Lots of positive responses and I’m already considering our next attendance. Interested in Derby, Nottingham and the North West! Aaron was my initial point of contact at the Job Fairs and he was most helpful and able to give me some invaluable feedback. There was an excellent mix of people from all backgrounds at this Job Fair.” (Nottingham, 20/01/2017) Park Foster Care
