About Us

The Probation Service works with around 230,000 people on probation. Our staff have an important role to play – helping protect communities by supporting people to turn their lives around and also victims of crime.

There are a variety of roles within the Probation Service that all contribute to making a difference in supporting teams that thrive on sharing knowledge and expertise. In the South West we have over 1,300 colleagues working in courts, the community and in prisons.
