About Us
Almost 17,000 students are currently studying at the University which includes students from more than one hundred countries worldwide. The University employs approximately 3,800 staff, a third of whom work part-time.
Since 1963 we’ve been breaking down boundaries between students and researchers, arts and science, business and social responsibility. Our world leading research is making real-world impact and covers science, health, medicine, social sciences and the humanities, addressing some of the biggest issues facing society today. We bring fresh thinking to the major challenges facing society, helping to create a better future for all.
We are equally proud of our civic responsibility in our local and regional community tackling issues such as social mobility, building a more sustainable economy and championing diversity. UEA is a member of the National Civic Universities Network; reflecting the importance the university places on its long history of civic engagement across East Anglia, as well as our regional, national and global relationships to help achieve greater goals and positively influence the world around us.

The UEA has some of the most innovative and highly regarded centres for teaching and research in the UK. Every role plays a part in achieving the University's vision and its success. Working alongside colleagues is inspiring and there is a real buzz around campus, especially at the start of the academic year and Graduation. There is no other industry like it!
The type of jobs we recruit for?
We recruit a variety of roles, not only academic roles such as Lecturers, Associate Professors, and Professors but also research roles including Research Associates. To maintain the campus and its facilities and aid in the running of the University we also recruit Maintenance and Engineering roles, Groundspeople, Chefs, Cleaners, Lifeguards and roles within Professional Services such as HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, Estates and Facilities.
