About Us
Based within Swansea Bay Sports Park, Wales National Pool Swansea, the national aquatic centre for Wales, is home to Swim Wales and a number of Olympic and Paralympic swimmers, alongside those training for national and international competitions.
It is also a much-used community resource catering for all ages and abilities. Our fantastic facility has both an 8 lane 50m pool (with a flexible pool system allowing us to split the pool into two sections and alter the depth in the 23m section) and a 4 lane 25m pool.
The vision of Wales National Pool Swansea is to be a World Class Centre for “Aquatic Sport”. To be at the forefront of the development and enhancement of Aquatic Sports in Britain from grass roots to high performance level; and to promote health and wellbeing for all.
With elite and community training side by side, Wales National Pool offers something for everyone no matter what their progress in their journey into aquatics. Whether someone aspires to be an Olympian/Paralympian or for those who are just starting to dip their toes in the water, then we can help people achieve those dreams.
Throughout the year Wales National Pool Swansea also hosts a wide variety of competitions, ranging from local clubs championships all the way up to British Championships in a range of aquatic disciplines.
What it’s like to work for us?
We work in a dynamic ever-changing environment which caters to a diverse range of customers. One day we could be hosting a national competition and the next day offering learn to swim tuition. We are the home of Welsh swimming and the national performance squad but also a facility in the heart of the community.
