About Us

Ridgeway House has been a registered care home since October 1993. It was opened by the current director. Ridgeway house is located in the south of Bristol adjacent to a large common, there are shops close by and local buses pass the house regularly which provide links to the city centre. The house is registered to provide a service to 7 individuals. The house has facilities to accommodate people with physical as well as learning disabilities.

If so the residents and staff at Ridgeway House would love to meet you. As a support worker, you are an integral part of a friendly and supportive team that works with and supports residents to achieve their goals.

Every day is different at Ridgeway House and your day may include supporting an individual to a hospital appointment, preparing an evening meal, shopping or going to the theatre. Under the supervision of the managers, our support staff work very closely with our seven residents and therefore genuine care for their well-being is a pre-requisite to the role.

The type of jobs we recruit for?

Experience in care work is preferable but not essential as a full and comprehensive training package will be provided. If you would like to develop your career we give you the opportunity to achieve nationally recognised qualifications and gain valuable experience in epilepsy, autism, medication administration, Peg care and nutrition.

With such variety from day to day and such a wide range of needs to be met, Ridgeway House is the perfect environment in which to learn new and important skills to help you progress your career within the health and social care industry. What we do ask is that you have a genuine desire to work in the social care setting and have a passion to help enhance and develop other peoples’ lives.
