About Us

Nearly 40 years ago Joe, Tim and Becky started out with a box of eggs, selling door to door. It wasn't long before they soon turned the local egg round into a wholesale bacon business, with the support of their parents the cottage industry began to grow.

Over the next few years the Cornes became bona fide bacon buffs, continually growing in reputation and consciously investing in the business.

After nearly 25 years the family partnered with Carsten Jakobsen and family-run international food company Tonnies, which enabled Becketts to continue advancing and enhancing their product range.

Carsten Jakobsen, an influential figure in the global meat industry, joined the Becketts team as chairman in 2011, and with his strategic vision the business soon became a multi-site company producing over 1,000 tonnes of bacon and gammon a week.
