About Us

Cranswick was formed by a group of farmers in the 1980s and to this day, animal welfare remains at the heart of our business. From ‘Farm to Fork’, we create top quality food products that the nation loves.

We invest significantly in state-of-the-art, award-winning production facilities and following continual growth, we now employ around 11,000 people across our 18 sites.

In the East Anglia region, Crown Farms and Crown Milling as well as Wayland Farms are our successful poultry and pig farming businesses and Milling operation. We also have two large, modern processing facilities; our pork focused factory based in Watton, Norfolk known as Cranswick Country Foods and our chicken processing facility based in Eye, Suffolk, known as Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry.

There are some things you need to know:

Our farming operations require you to have a passion for animal welfare as this is our number one priority. They are also involve physical work so you need to enjoy being on your feet and moving around. Our poultry farms at Crown Farms are mainly barn based environments and you need to enjoy working outdoors for our pig units at Wayland Farms.

Our factory operations are cold environments, so you will need to wrap up warm and be comfortable on your feet for periods of time.

The type of jobs we recruit for?

We have a diverse range of opportunities.

For those who love working with animals, we have farming based roles working with poultry at Crown Farms and pigs at Wayland Farms.

We also have two large successful processing facilities at Watton Norfolk and Eye Suffolk where we have plenty of factory based roles, from production based positions such as packing operatives, machine operatives and team leaders/supervisors, through to factory support roles like despatch operatives, technical QAs and QCs and hygiene operatives. There are shifts to suit everyone, including days only and nights only, school hours Mon - Fri, longer shifts Monday - Friday, 4 on 4 off, 3 week rotating shift patterns and weekend only work!

We also have office based positions for the support functions such as IT, HR, NPD, Sales and Finance departments.
