About Us

Ian Williams Ltd is one of the UK’s largest privately-owned property services companies and is a leader and pioneer in its field. We are at the forefront of direct delivery for planned refurbishment, responsive repairs and cyclical painting programmes for both the private and public sectors. Always striving to be the property services contractor of choice to our long-term clients, we work with partners in housing, education, retirement living and commercial markets across England and Wales

We are proud to remain a family owned contractor, having started in 1946 in Cardiff, to now having 28 business units nationally.

So how have we done this? It has been achieved through training, apprentice recruitment, technology and process re-engineering whilst continuing to complement our existing services. But this is not enough. We remain focused on our people, it’s our people who define and shape the organisation and ultimately sustain our growth. We have been Investors in people (IIP) accredited since 1997 and achieved IIP Gold consecutively in the last two years. This reflects our recognition of the critical contribution that well trained and informed employees are the key factors to the business’ success.

What it’s like to work for us?

As our vision highlights, it's about the people. Ask someone why they enjoy working at Ian Williams and everyone will include "the people" in their response. Over the last 15 months, we have been completing virtual inductions and all feedback has started with "I have felt so supported from the start, everyone has been helpful and supportive". You are given accountability and responsibility for your job, and your development.

The type of jobs we recruit for?

As a direct delivery contractor we recruit a variety of roles within our organisation ranging from trades people (carpenters, painters, electricians, Multis and plumbers) to technical, support and managerial positions, a few to name, include: customer liaison officers, planner schedulers, forepersons and site supervisors, contract managers, quantity surveyors and business managers.

In addition to looking for skilled employees we are equally as committed to recruiting and developing our future talent, our inhouse academy support the recruitment of trainees and apprentices periodically every year.
