The type of jobs we recruit for?

Laboratory Technician Apprentices - will produce and characterise novel alloy materials as
required for R&D projects. They will learn a wide range of techniques including casting, forging, additive manufacture, optical microscopy, and etching.

Additive Manufacturing Apprentices - will make and process components via metal 3D-printing and other methods. They will develop the planning skills needed to produce high-quality parts to customer timescales, and work on novel projects for customers such as Boeing or Rolls Royce.

Manufacturing Technicians - will 3D-print orthopaedic implants for patients with bone defects. They will learn several post-processing steps including heat treatment, blasting, polishing and cleaning, and they will develop transferrable
experience working to a quality management system.
