About Us

We’re a higher education institute with a big heart and an important purpose: we work together to break down the barriers that hold people back. We make things happen by daring our community to be different and kind.

A 21st century education in the heart of the world’s greatest city.

We deliver degrees in business, law and accounting. We value strong ideas, innovation, hard work and intellectual stimulation. Your success is our mission, so we prioritise giving you a top-quality, career-focused higher education.

The education we offer takes a transformative whole-person approach. Our students are nurtured, challenged and ultimately empowered to become well-rounded individuals, prepared to make a positive impact in the world. Our dedicated faculty members are not just experts in their fields; they are mentors, guides, and collaborators who are invested in our students’ success.

As you journey through our website, you’ll discover that our community is very much rooted in Bloomsbury, London’s academic heartland, but it doesn’t end here. Our civic engagement and academic interests stretch across the globe. Through friendships and partnerships with international organisations, such as the Association of Commonwealth Universities, we work to create leaders who are committed to justice, sustainability and fair play in enterprise, trade, commerce and law.

We’re driven by a desire to break down the barriers that hold people back. Breaking Down Barriers Together.

What it’s like to work for us?

Student Life
Before starting my journey at Bloomsbury Institute, I had recently made the decision to drop out of college and go into full time work. I had been juggling numerous different roles, such as working in restaurants, gyms, hotels and warehouses.

This isn’t something I wanted to do long term, so I decided it was time that I think about what I envisioned for my future career. I was unsure of the exact field I wanted to go in to, but I knew university was something I always wanted to do.

With so much going on in my life it hadn’t been something I had been able to prioritise in the past, however I finally decided that now was the time. My family and friends were extremely supportive of this decision, which made it even easier for me to take this leap of faith.

At first, I was overcome with fear – I hadn’t been in education in over half a decade, and I couldn’t ignore the thoughts that were telling me “I wasn’t smart enough” or “I’m not good enough to go back into studying”. Watching my old school friends graduate also added to my fear – I felt like I had been left behind.

After class I like to spend my time exploring London, trying new foods, going to museums and shopping! Bloomsbury is in the heart of London, so it is easy to travel to new places - having a travel bursary also helps, as travelling around London can be expensive.

I cannot wait to continue my journey at Bloomsbury and am genuinely excited to see what my future holds.

So, I decided to attend the Bloomsbury open day. Here I met other students just like me, who boosted my confidence and convinced me that applying was the best decision.

Looking back, I don’t regret a thing; since studying at Bloomsbury, I’ve enjoyed every minute. Alllecturers have a unique way of making each session engaging and fun and always ensure that no student is left behind. I know I can always turn to them for support with my assignments and have genuinely felt supported every step of the way.
